Gudrun Cottenier has been running ‘De Groene Verbeelding’, her private Flower School for both professional florists and flower lovers for more than 25 years.
Every year, hundreds of people find their way to her design studio in the countryside of Belgium, more in particular in Mater (East-Flanders).
Trained as a teacher, she loves to share her knowledge and skills with students and flower enthusiasts.
Gudrun prefers to work with natural and seasonal materials. Creatively reusing materials is also one of her great strengths.
Her style can be described as pure, natural end effortless but with great technique.
Her designs are published in several national and international floral design and lifestyle magazines. She often makes big installations for exhibitions and fairs and she is regularly invited for workshops abroad.
Gudrun is the author of 4 flower arranging books entitled ‘De Groene Verbeelding Een bloemstuk uit eigen tuin’ of in Het Engels: ‘An arrangement from your own garden’(2004), ‘Basics of Florestry Techniques’ (2007), ‘Floral Party Decorations’ (2014) and ‘Flower Style’ (2016) 40 ways of arranging bouquets.
